Users want to view all essential information before they dive into details.
Clinical trial teams often struggle to see and act on what is happening fast enough, because key operational signals are scattered across sources and arrive with lags, inconsistencies, and an unclear source of truth.
We wanted to help the client design and build an advanced analytics platform to enable predictable, high-quality trial delivery via insights-driven and outcomes-focused decision-making.
We implemented a collaborative design process with discovery workshops and user testing sessions in each two-week sprint.
This approach helped us build a deep understanding of both users and clinical trial processes. During design and development, I created and managed a modular, scalable design system to ensure consistent experience quality and visual style across the platform.

Process
I initially tackled the challenge by consolidating all essential information onto a single card based on user needs from interviews. I developed a side panel interaction model to provide detailed information in a structured way while keeping the main view uncluttered.
Solution
The final design provides expand and collapse views, along with a side panel interaction model. This allows users to first focus on the most important information, while keeping deeper details immediately accessible when needed.
I led the end-to-end design of three key product areas - Trial Portfolio, Trial Management, and Site Management.
